So Honeycomb 3.0.1 just started rolling out OTA (over the air) yesterday to prepare the Xoom for the March 18 release of the Adobe Flash 10.2 plugin. Luckily for us, the 10.2 plugin leaked last night so I wanted to show a bit of flash performance. The Honeycomb update also provided a 20% performance gain in benchmark testing. USB host capability also has made its way to the Xoom but that will require rooting your tablet (so will a manual install of the update). March 11 may have been launch day for the iPad 2 but I feel the real tech news belonged to the Xoom as it is now on its way to being the most full featured and powerful tablet on the market. Before you complain about the Xoom pricing, please remember that the WiFi model will be available soon at a comparable price point to the iPad 2 (16GB WiFi model).
